Biography

Owner/International Computer Consultant, Wiesner Enterprises of North America, LLC, Cary, IL.

Self-employed business in which I help people enhance their current computer system along with solving any system problems they may have encountered. Provide assistance and consulting to companies within the nation as well as internationally, primarily in Europe. Train individuals to use and to understand computers and software. Perform security checks on various companies to ensure the highest level of protection for their business. Design and program various software solutions for business environment. Provide highest level of support and technical analysis for organizations. January 1992 to Present.


Lead Technical Support Engineer, GE Healthcare , Barrington, IL.

Provide various 24x7 tech support assistance to over 1,500 hospitals across the USA for networking, desktop, systems, and application support using GE equipment and software.  Analyze problems with systems and applications and help develop resolutions.  Train other tech support personnel in supporting hospitals based upon the previous technical areas and criteria.   Act as an escalation leader providing special troubleshooting to handle and to solve emergency problems affecting the production environment which directly impacts patient care.  October 2005 to present.


Project & Department Manager, Würth IT International GmbH & Co KG, Bad Mergentheim, Germany.

Responsible for technology assessment and advancement for the Würth Concern. Würth is an international organization of over 230 companies in over 76 countries. Primary focus of responsibility in Year 2000 was for the Asset Management. Acted as project manager for the asset management implementation as well as the department manager. Performed the basic management tasks, including interviewing, hiring, training, reviewing and firing of employees. Evaluate and assess software and hardware products to enhance productivity and capabilities of various corporate departments as well as integrate those new implemented products into the existing infrastructure and train associates on those new products. Develop and maintain a standard corporate asset management solution that was modular and able to integrate into various software applications throughout the organization. Act as a problem solver for Windows 9x, and Windows NT workstations. Acted as a special troubleshooting technician to handle and to solve emergency problems affecting the production environment of companies in the United States. Assisted in security audits and checks at various internal companies to ensure proper security measures were in place. Performed tasks as Network and Systems Administrator as well as IT Manager at a couple of internal companies in the United States. March 1999 to April 2001.


Lead Software Engineer, Strong Capital Management, Inc., Menomonee Falls, WI.

Responsible for technology assessment and advancement for the entire company. Evaluated and assessed software and hardware products to enhance productivity and capabilities of various corporate departments as well as integrate those new implemented products into the existing infrastructure and trained associates on those new products. Developed and maintained corporate intranet. Created tools for easy implementations by developers on the PC platform. Acted as a problem solver for Novell LAN, DOS/Windows, Windows 95, and Windows NT workstations. Advised project leaders and managers on cutting-edge technology and methods. Acted as a special troubleshooting technician to handle and to solve emergency problems affecting the production environment. Provided security administration to the firm’s confidential data and payroll systems. Re-engineered the Operations area to be more efficient and automated as well as provided a higher level of support to that area and the application developers. August 1997 to March 1999.

Responsible for technology assessment and advancement for the entire company.  Train mainframe programmers to develop and test applications for and on PC platforms. Create tools for easy implementations by developers on the PC platform. Act as a problem solver for Novell LAN, DOS/Windows, Windows 95, Windows NT, OS/2 and Macintosh workstations.  Presented many different solutions for Internet/Intranet usage. Developed a PC/LAN Source Management System to mirror the mainframe environment.  Fixed system coding problems as well as added enhancements to the current Loan Application System. Helped many people in the loan department understand coding techniques and environment features. Trained personnel to use personal computers and software. Advised project leaders and managers on cutting-edge technology and methods. Acted as a special troubleshooting technician to handle and to solve emergency problems affecting the production environment. January 1992 to August 1997.
